ΣΓΣ Divas New Year 2014 Msg & What’s Coming Up For Us

2013 Has been a great one for the Big Sisters Of ΣΓΣSigma Gamma Sigma Sorority IncΣΓΣ,we have been thru a lot of things,that has tested our sisterhood as a whole. We have lost sisters,founders,supporters,and gain much more. Due To Our Founding Soro MzLadyT/Tray Ferrentino being on SL Break for nearly half the year,we manage to survive,and become better sisters.This was also ΣΓΣ First Year as being in the GREEK Community,and with so many of the sisters hesitation of turning GREEK,we were sure we would become NON Greek Again.

The Start of ΣΓΣ was hard,not only because we have been use to being Divas,but due to fact we knew we were about to be apart of the huge GREEK Community. A Few people are scared of the GREEK World and what it anticipates,but we were confident to know,we would not get caught up in the wrong reason of becoming and being a sorority.

Our many events were amazing,we kept up our themes,and originality. From Our MLK Exhibit,Sweethearts Ball,Founder Day Bash,”I am Woman” Celebration,Spring Bling 2013,St Patty Days All Green Bash,Mother’s Day and Summer Explosion,the list goes on. We also showed awareness to Lupus,World Aids Day,and American Cancer Society,with events such as open mics,fairs,and parties. Our Breast Cancer Awareness Month,was dear to our hearts,we had an campaign called “I Think Pink” presented By DOPE Magazine,which every Friday in October,was “Pink Friday”where all our sisters rocked pick all day,and post quotes,and pics on facebook.

Bonding is one of the things that was most important to us during this year,we went on trips,hunts,and had sleep overs with other sororities and frats,to get to know ourselves as a person. Our 1st Annual Ladies Night,was an event,we took pride in and invited all sororities to take place in. It was a night just for the ladies,to be pampered,talk about men,and just relax. In November, we took a break from the scenes,to get to know our sisters for who they are. We went on island resort getaway,we had a game night,and sleepover,and went out to clubs and dress up alike. After That month,it made SGS Stronger,and close knit.

We have also gain tons of support from other GREEK Organizations,they have showed huge commitment toward ΣΓΣ,and we have supported them in return. A Few Of Them Are: Alpha Kai Delta Sorority Inc.,Delta Theta Nu Sorority, Delta Alpha Phi Sorority, Sigma Upsilon Nu Sorority Inc.,Tau Beta Psi Sorority Inc., Chi Gamma Psi Sorority Inc., Theta Nu Theta Fraternity Inc.,Nu Gamma Rho Sorority Inc.,Pi Delta Pi Sorority Inc., Xi Alpha Phi Fraternity, Gamma Nu Theta Fraternity & Beta Iota Sigma Sorority Inc. We like to say a very special shout out to two GREEK Organizations,we have done events with,and collaborated with and they are: Omega Psi Sigma Fraternity Inc. & Iota Sigma Rho Sorority: We Appreciate all of you,and you forever have ΣΓΣ Support.

ΣΓΣ Has made such an impact on so many ways,we have given our sisters a purpose and reason to be on second life. We had the pleasure of of being nominated at the 2nd Annual GREEK Awards,for Sorority Of The Year & Founder Of The Year,and even though we didn’t win,that didn’t defined us as a sorority/sisterhood,it means we are doing something meaningful on the grid,and we were greatly appreciate for that honor of even being nominated.

We also like to thank all the DJs who have giving our events,amazing music,who supported ΣΓΣ,and they are: DJ Splack,DJ Soopa Uglee, DJ Nuclear, DJ Scratch,DJ Showtime The Don,DJ Knockout(Pickasso Artis),DJ Royc & DJ Blissful Sounds. We hope to work with you guys more in the new year 2014.

We also took over GREEK Magazine for December 2013,and inside the pages,you get a deeper and more intense look at ΣΓΣ as a whole,you see the history of Divas Inc,and how we became GREEK and everything. We like to thank the staff of GREEK Magazine,and GREEK Magazine Editor & Chief Kandee Ester Riler,for giving us the opportunity to share our story to the GREEK Community.

What Is ΣΓΣ Doing For 2014?

Well,you will have to way and see,but we have present our 2014 Jan Calendar,so we hope you ready for a fun filled Jan. We are happy to start the year off with an amazing event with The Pretty Girls of Pi Delta Pi Sorority Inc. They are celebrating their 3rd Anniversary,and we are very humble to be apart of this celebration.

ΣΓΣ Winter 2013 Crossover “Divas Of Sophistication” Pledge Line

Sigma Gamma Sigma Winter 2013 Crossover was such an amazing event,i must say this was our best crossover overall this entire year. Our 6th Pledge Line “Divas Of Sophistication” were 8 amazing girls from the start who were on a mission to get to know each big sister of SGS. Our Pledge of the Week Was Synapse Joubert,she was committed to every lesson,and always manage to put a smile on her Pledge Master’s Face. Our Other Fellow Pledges Were: MajesticAlliteration,Disaya43.qskitten Peapod,Nightwolf Deed,Cashm3r3kiss ,Shortcake Windstorm  and Zariah Damaino.

From the start of Rush Week,until pledge week each of these ladies bonded with each of the big sisters of SGS. From Our Ski Trip,to our annual Ice Skate Bash,they saw a different side from each of us,which brought them closer to Us.  As each day past during pledge week,we got to knew them a little better,and saw them as amazing lovely ladies. Each lesson that they went thru,they learn more about their well being,and it took a different look at themselves as “women”. Not only did the Big Sisters Of SGS wanted our Pledges to learn more about SGS,but we wanted them to see themselves in a different life,and hopefully see a big difference as they crossed into our Sisterhood.

Tuesday,December 17,2013 was the night that these fellow young ladies were finally crossing over to become a big sister of Sigma Gamma Sigma,and what a huge excitement they were feeling. Our Opening Speaker for the evening was SGS Founder Sinamondeelite aka Big Sister Ride or Die,she was very happy to be crossing over such an amazing group of women. SGS Queen MzFierce aka Big Sister Sweetness34 gave us the history of SGS,so our guest can learn a little more about SGS.

It was now next to hear SGS Purpose of Pledge Week,and our overall process for our Winter 2013 Pledge Line,and SGS Founder MzLadyT aka Big Sister FYNE Red Bone Grace the stage to give a little outlook to our wonderful guests. In the words of LadyT “I was very pleased with this pledge line,for not only showing huge dedication,but for given our big sisters stress free,and a first line that we really enjoyed,we got to knew these ladies a little better”,and that’s very true,we grew closer to them,and were very happy to have them apart of our family. Next it was time for SGS Lady Mz Ember and our fellow big sister Ms Feisty Sassy aka Big Sister Sassy Ass,to grace the stage and bless our guest,and fellow new sister with a few words of wisdom with some poetry of sisterly bond.

We were now ready to crossover our brand new sisters of Sigma Gamma Sigma,so SGS Founder Akatforlife aka Big Sister Sho U Right,grace the stage to give our new sisters their oath and bylaws. They gracefully accepted as one,and we were now happy to welcome all 8 of our brand new sisters To SGS,and they are now known as:

After That,we were now ready to celebrate our new sisters in style,so following the crossover,we had a Winter Formal Ball,featuring the DJ Styling of DJ Nuclear of 7 Star Radio. We had an amazing time dancing and having fun with our amazing new sisters. We had amazing guests and was very happy for everyone’s support.

On Behalf Of The Big Sister Of Sigma Gamma Sigma Sorority,we like to thank all the family and friends who attended our 6th Annual Crossover Ceremony and Winter Formal Ball for the Winter 2013 Pledge Line Divas Of Sophistication”. SGS Big Sister Of The Month:December 2013

Sigma Gamma Sigma Sorority Inc. Big Sister Of The Month is someone who is fun,amazing,and very funny and always up for a great time with her sisters and that person is Mz Nunu Lastchance aka Big Sister Feisty.

When Nunu first became a prospect for SGS,she was on a mission to bond with her SGS sisters,and have sisterly bond time,she was funny,calm,collected type of person and was getting along with all her big sisters. During Pledging she showed huge commitment to each task,while having to wear a pledge outfit she really didn’t like,but it didn’t matter,because it was all about be apart SGS. As she crossed on September 15,being apart of the Angelic Angels Pledge Line,she has showed us what a great sister is like,always there to help and have fun.She is always there to give SGS that fun funny thing we need,when you down she is there to cheer you up. She is honest,and always there when you need an helping hand,we happy to have her apart of SGS,and we are proud to say that Ms NuNu is big sister of the month for December 2013,We love you sissy!
